Mike8675309 writes, "It's the end of the line for the Road Rules 11 crew. Time for a stunt like never before to play on the fears of those that don't like heights. And after the adrenaline rush of this challenge, the emotions swing back as it's time to say goodbye.

Welcome to the final episode of Road Rules 11 - Campus Crawl.

The show begins with a review of the issues that occurred last week. We hear that Rachel has lost respect for Kendal with regard to her behavior and reactions with Eric and her arrogant attitude. Eric just wants to win to end on an up note.
Roll the Opening

Kendal and Eric talk while Eric drives. Kendal burns Eric a little talking like she spent too much time with him and didn't get to know others. Eric burns her bit saying that she had learned through mistakes and he didn’t want to have to do that. Well he says he made those mistakes on this trip. “It’s a shame you have to go through rough drafts to get to the final product”, he says. (Why do I get the feeling he read that somewhere and has been saving it for just this trip?)

We get a few words from Darrell how everyone is talking bad about Eric and Kendal, but he’s cool, just sitting back. Their grown people, it’s their own business is his attitude.

They arrive in San Bernardino county, California and park for the night. Eric and Kendal talk outside at night about how Kendal is missing the talks with Rachel. Rachel is giving her the cold shoulder.

They get their Nextel Direct Connect Clue. They need to meet the crew at the Cal Poly University in San Luis Obispo by 2pm. It’s the last mission. Kendal stops to talk to Rachel and asks her what is wrong. Rachel says a lot:
“I'm tired of, like, the Eric and Kendal thing just like you guys are and I can't be around it anymore and whenever you two are together I just want to separate myself. I've just come to a point where, like I'll let you come to me.“

They make up a little, but Rachel doesn’t want to talk to Kendal if it’s going to be about Eric. Rachel doesn't feel it's good for her to be around Kendal and Eric and their issues.

The meet Ben and Katrina from CalPoly and find out that they can first find out what they are competing for. YEAH! Successful completion of the mission means that each of them receive an around the world trip for 2! The need to pick someone from their group that is their most trustworthy individual. This person will need to help all of them in their next mission. They choose Darrell. It was a unanimous decision.

Raquel is glad that Darrell is the man because he hasn’t been involved in the drama going on.

They drive to the site and everyone is scared. Ahead they see two giant cranes and they can't imagine what's happening. “Oh my god, Oh my god” someone says. They see some huge cranes and a ton of people around. Two cranes in fact.

They are kept in the RV and have to drive onto a frame. Turns out this frame is going to suspend the RV and themselves in the air. In front of the RV, on the frame, is a obstacle course that leads to a platform on the other side.

Here is the trick. Everyone but Darrell will need to cross the obstacle course with blindfolds on. Darrell will go first and then wait at the other side and guide them with his voice across. They all don helmets and then all but Darrell put on their blacked out goggles.

First up is Darrell without the blindfold. Everyone is very nervous. Darrell is glad he was picked as most trustworthy as he wouldn’t want to be blindfolded.

The Course

They first have to use a rope ladder to climb up the side of the RV. Then walk across the top of it to the front. Then climb back down the front windshield of the RV using another rope ladder. At the bottom of the ladder they then need to do a trust fall where they just fall back into a cargo net. From the cargo net they need to get onto a platform. The platform is kind of narrow and leads to a ramp that is about 3 feet long and tilted to the left. They need to stay straight across it. This then brings them to 3 short stairs made out of foam so that they collapse as you step on them. Then there are some wood walls about waist high right in your path that you must go around to the right. But if you step in the wrong spot your foot falls into a hole that is filled with a netting. Then another set of crushable stairs and the path then is filled with PVC pipes to make for an unstable footing.
And then the final step – a balance beam wrapped by a cargo net. Thus the surface of the balance beam is not smooth, it is irregular. If they fall and can grab the cargo net they can pull themselves back up and try again. We’ll find this to be the hardest part of the course.

First up Kendal – She says she is really scared and hesitates at the trust fall. Darrell tells her to trust him, let go. (If this is the Mole, I don’t know I would trust so easily, but it’s RR) She is doing well on the course and feels confidence from having Darrell talking to her. He’s a reassuring voice. She arrives at the balance beam part of the course and is about 3/4ths of the way across but loses her balance and falls. She does find the cargo net and climb back up. She’s confident that she can get it the second time and she does. She hugs Darrell at the end but he warns her not too tight, he’s afraid he’ll fall off. (Doesn’t look like he’s in a harness)

Next Rachel – She does a good job at the trust fall and just lets lose. She blazes through the course with just a couple bobbles.

Next Raquel - The drama queen. She doesn't like this event at all. She's struggles the most. We see a clip of Rachel saying that in her mind Raquel was either going to give them this trip, or take it away. She freaks out at the balance beam and almost falls. She starts sniffling and just wants it to be over with. She sucks it up with the great words from Darrell and races across the final area after almost not making it.

Next comes Eric – He jumps straight down off the trust fall rather than back, scraping up his knees. Darrell (pronounced Durell, which drives me nuts) we hear saying that Eric’s little steps make him look like a duck. Eric is flying through it pretty well now. Eric says he is anxious and a little bit of a spaz because he wants to get done quick. He races across the balance beam not stopping long enough to lose his balance. Yeah! He made it and he’s happy to see 3 smiling faces of the girls and the group hug.

Now Shane – Shane…Shane…Shane…  Ben throws a bit more pressure on Shane by reminding him that he’s the last one and has to make it for everyone to win. Shane is not quite as spazzy as Eric. He’s freezing cold though because of the wind and he’s struggling to balance with the wind. At the balance beam Shane isn’t listening to Darrell who tells him to go fast. Instead he is going slowly and his balance wavers. Woops, there goes Shane. Take Two. Shane craws up and tries again. He goes slow again and falls again. He’s spazzing out and he’s getting scared. His confidence is shattered because he’s struggling so much. He’s saying he can’t. He listens to go fast and halts part way and falls again. Now he is going to try sideways like Kendal went.

He finally makes it and they win. Eric starts crying after they win. They are a big family and we hear Kendal talk about how they get in fights and when it’s just friends you let it go, but with family you patch it up and work through it.

Of course at the end - it's chat about each other and all old wounds are healed over a shared meal.  Only good comments. Shane talks about how he wanted to kiss Raquel when he first saw her. How happy he was to see her. Darrell is happy to have met friends that are so different than him. He learned a lot from Shane that he can have a gay friend and not have any issue with it. Rachel talks about the great talks she had with Kendal. Eric is crying as Kendal talks about his and her sick and twisted relationship.

Time to pack. Lots of scenes of past shows. Little comments from each of them. Their little words of wisdom:

Kendal: Road rules means pushing yourself physically, socially, mentally. You face people when you don't want to face them anymore. Road rules is about finding things in yourself that you never knew you had.

Darrell: We were on a trip together. We learned how to live together. We learned how to respect each other. And at the end it came out to be a happily good story and we'll take that back with us home for the rest of our lives.

Rachel: Road rules is just about finding common ground. With so many different types of people.

Raquel: And although I haven't been here as many weeks as they have and they have so much history I've made my history with them, and my history with them has been great.

Shane: I don't want to ever slip away from this experience. I love you guys. I love you so much. And thank you for loving me. Good-bye.

(Apparently Eric had no wisdom for us)
